부경대, 제품디자인기술사·국제기술사 배출

- 강태호·송기연 씨 … 디자인 분야 국내 유일 기술사자격

국립부경대학교(총장 장영수)는 최근 마린융합디자인공학과 강태호 씨(박사과정 1년·부산디자인진흥원 기업지원팀장)와 송기연 겸임교수(공업디자인학과·시프트디자인컨설팅 대표)가 각각 제품디자인기술사와 국제기술사를 취득했다고 밝혔다.

강태호 씨는 최근 진행된 2021년도 정기 기술사 124회 제품디자인기술사 분야에 응시해 이달 최종 합격했다.

제품디자인기술사는 제품디자인 관련 이론과 산업현장에서 요구되는 실무경력을 갖춘 전문기술인력 양성을 위해 제정된 디자인 분야의 국내 유일 기술사자격이다.

이 자격시험은 해마다 합격자가 1~4명밖에 되지 않으며, 1991년 자격 신설 이후 지난해까지 총 34명의 제품디자인기술사가 배출됐다.

이와 함께 송기연 겸임교수는 지난 2010년 제품디자인기술사 자격을 취득한 데 이어 최근 제25회 국제기술사 심사에서 자격을 취득했다.

국제기술사 자격은 21개 회원국 간 국제기술사 협약에 따라 국제기술사자격심사전문위원회와 기술사제도발전심의위원회의 심의를 거쳐 발급되며, 각 기술사 분야의 최고 자격증으로 인정받는다.

지도교수인 조정형 교수(공업디자인학과)는 “국제 경쟁에서 기계적 성능은 물론 디자인이 제품의 가치를 결정하는 중요한 요소로 떠오르고 있다. 앞으로도 우수한 제품디자인 전문가를 배출해 디자인산업 발전에 보탬이 되도록 힘쓰겠다.”라고 말했다. <부경투데이>

- Kang Tae-Ho · Song Gi-Yeon ... Qualified as the only engineer in Korea in the design field

Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) recently announced that Kang Tae-Ho (1st Year doctorate student · Team manager of Industry Promotion Team at the Design Council Busan) and Adjunct Professor Song Gi-Yeon (Department of Industrial Design · Representative of Shift Design Consulting), an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Marine Integrated Design Engineering, acquired product design engineers and APEC/EMF Engineers, respectively.

Mr. Kang Tae-Ho took the recently held 124th Product Design Professional Engineering section in 2021 and finally passed this month.

The Product Design Engineer is the only domestic technician qualification in the design field established to nurture professional technical personnel with practical experience required in the industrial field and theory related to product design.

Only 1-4 pass this qualification test every year, and since the establishment of the qualification in 1991, a total of 34 product design engineers have been produced until last year.

Along with this, Adjunct Professor Song Gi-Yeon obtained the qualification of product design professional engineers in 2010 and recently acquired the qualification at the 25th eligibility check by International Engineering Alliance (IEA).

The International Technician Qualification is issued after deliberation by the International Engineering Alliance (IEA) and the Technician System Development Deliberation Committee in accordance with International Professional Engineers Agreement (IPEA) between 21 member countries, and is recognized as the top-grade certification in each technical field.

Advisory Professor Cho Joung-Hyung (Department of Industrial Design) said, "In the international market competition, mechanical performance as well as design are emerging as an important factor in determining the value of a product.
