국립부경대, 역사자료 수집 공모전 개최
- 내년 ‘개교 80주년 & 통합 30주년’ 앞두고
- 대학 역사 관련 자료 보유한 국민 누구나 참가 가능
국립부경대학교(총장 배상훈)가 내년 ‘개교 80주년 & 통합 30주년’을 앞두고 역사자료 수집 공모전을 연다.
국립부경대 기록관은 ‘기억을 모아 역사를 채우다’를 주제로 오는 10월 31일까지 이번 공모전을 진행한다.
국립부경대는 1924년 설립된 부산공업대학교와 1941년 설립된 부산수산대학교가 1996년 통합해 탄생한 대학이다. 내년인 2026년이면 개교 80주년(광복 이후인 1946년 기점)과 통합 30주년이라는 새로운 역사적 기점을 맞게 돼 이를 기념하기 위해 공모전을 연다.
수집 기록물은 대학 설립 및 통합 관련 자료를 비롯해 수업 및 연구 관련 학내 발간 자료, 통합 전 대학의 학생증, 성적표, 졸업장, 졸업앨범 등 학업 관련 자료와 학교 행사 관련 자료, 배지, 교복 등 학교 상징이 새겨진 자료, 학내 단체 회보 등 모든 형태의 기록물이다.
이 공모전에는 국립부경대 학생은 물론, 졸업생과 퇴직·재직 교직원, 대학 역사 관련 기록물을 보유한 일반인 등 국민 누구나 참가할 수 있다.
심사를 통해 최우수상 1명에게는 감사장과 50만 원 상당 상품권, 우수상 2명에게는 감사장과 30만 원 상당 상품권을 증정한다. 참가자 전원에게는 기념품을 증정할 계획이다.
국립부경대는 수집된 역사자료들을 데이터베이스화하고, 내년 개교 기념 주간에 특별전시를 진행하는 등 대학의 전통과 역사를 기념하기 위해 활용할 계획이다.

Pukyong National University Launches Historical Archives Contest
- In Preparation for the University’s 80th Anniversary and 30th Anniversary of Unification Next Year
- Open to Anyone with Historical Materials Related to the University
Pukyong National University (President Bae Sang-hoon) is hosting a historical archives contest in preparation for its 80th anniversary and the 30th anniversary of its unification, both of which will be celebrated next year.
Under the theme “Gathering Memories to Complete Our History,” the university’s Archives Center will accept submissions through October 31.
Pukyong National University was established in 1996 through the merger of Busan National University of Technology (founded in 1924) and the National Fisheries University of Busan (founded in 1941). The year 2026 marks both the 80th anniversary of its founding―counted from 1946, following Korea’s liberation―and the 30th anniversary of the unification, making this contest a meaningful part of the university’s commemorative efforts.
The contest invites submissions of a wide range of materials, including documents related to the university’s founding and unification; publications from classes or research activities; student IDs, transcripts, diplomas, and yearbooks from the pre-merger institutions; as well as items related to campus events, badges, uniforms, and other memorabilia bearing the university’s symbols. Newsletters and publications from campus organizations are also eligible.
The contest is open to all members of the public, including current students, alumni, former and current faculty and staff, and anyone in possession of historical records related to the university.
Submissions will be reviewed by a judging panel, and one Grand Prize winner will receive a certificate of appreciation and a gift voucher worth 500,000 KRW. Two Excellence Award recipients will each receive a certificate and a 300,000 KRW voucher. All participants will receive commemorative gifts.
Pukyong National University plans to digitize the collected historical materials and use them to celebrate the university’s legacy, including through a special exhibition during next year’s anniversary week.
