부경대생들, 한국건축문화대상 ‘최우수상’ 등 수상

- 학생설계공모전 부문 최우수·우수·입선 등 4명 상 받아

국립부경대학교(총장 장영수)는 건축학전공 조명훈 학생(5학년)이 국토교통부의 2022 한국건축문화대상에서 최우수상을 수상하는 등 학생 4명이 수상자로 선정됐다고 밝혔다.

조명훈 학생은 부산 세관 부지의 개방형 수장고를 통한 지역 문화예술 발전 계획안을 설계한 ‘ART'RIUM(아트'리움)’ 작품으로 상금 200만 원의 학생설계공모전 부문 최우수상을 받았다.

최우수상을 받은 이 작품은 부산 중구에 위치한 세관 부지를 대상으로 지역 문화예술의 관문이자 거점의 역할을 할 수 있는 개방형 수장고를 설계해 우수한 평가를 받았다.

조명훈 학생은 미술관이나 박물관의 작품이 일부분만 전시되고 대부분 수장고에 보관된다는 점에 착안, 수장의 개념을 전시의 개념과 융합한 건축물을 제안했다.

수장 공간을 중심에 배치하는 것을 비롯, 주위로 스튜디오와 카페, 라운지 등 공용 공간을 배치하고, 계단형식의 단계적 수장 공간은 내부로 직접 통과하지 않아도 공용 공간에서 관람할 수 있도록 했다. 공용 공간은 도시와 해안을 동시에 조망할 수 있는 선형공간으로 구성했다.

이와 함께 같은 전공의 김형민 학생(5학년)은 재개발을 고려한 재고생산형 농산물 도매시장 계획안을 설계한 ‘CASA DE CABBAGE’ 작품으로 상금 100만 원의 우수상을 수상했다.

이어 같은 전공 박재현(5학년), 김수용(4학년) 학생은 각각 ‘FOOD GROUND’, ‘석관동 기억 저장소’ 작품으로 입선에 올랐다.

한편 부경대는 지난 2020 한국건축문화대상에서도 최우수상 수상자를 배출하는 등 우수한 성과를 거두고 있다. <부경투데이>

Students from PKNU won the ‘best prize’ at the Korean architecture awards

- 4 students received awards including the best, excellent, and honorable mention in the category of student design competition

Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) announced that four students from our university were selected as winners, including Jo Myung-Hoon (5th-year student) majoring in architecture, who won the top prize at the 2022 Korean Architecture Awards held by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

Jo Myung-Hoon received the grand prize in the category of a student design contest with a prize of 2 million won for his work called ‘ART'RIUM’, which designed a plan for the development of local culture and art through open storage in the Busan customs site.

This award-winning work was evaluated as excellent for designing open storage that can serve as a gateway and base for local culture and arts for the site of the customs house located in Jung-gu, Busan.

Focusing on the fact that art galleries and museums only partially display works and most of them are kept in museum storage, Jo Myung-Hoon proposed a building that combines the concepts of storage and exhibition.

In addition to arranging the storage space in the center of the building, common spaces such as studios, caf？s, and lounges are arranged around it, and the stair-type storage space is designed to allow people to view from the common space without directly passing through the interior. The common space is configured as a linear space where people can view the city and the coast at the same time.

In addition, Kim Hyung-Min (5th-year student), studying the same major, won the 1 million won cash prize for his work, ‘Casa de Cabbage’ in which he designed an MTS (make-to-stock) agricultural wholesale market plan in consideration of redevelopment.

Park Jae-Hyeon (5th-year student) and Kim Soo-Yong (4th-year student) from the same major were selected for the works of ‘Food Ground’ and ‘Memory Storage in Seokgwan-dong’, respectively.
