부경대, 반도체 기업 대표 명예 공과대학장 임명

- 신정훈 ㈜비투지 대표이사 … 2024년 반도체 학과 설립·고급 인재 양성 ‘탄력’

국립부경대학교(총장 장영수)가 2024년 반도체 학과 신설을 앞두고 반도체 전문기업 대표를 공과대학 명예학장으로 임명했다.

장영수 부경대 총장은 지난 12월 29일 대학본부 3층 총장실에서 반도체 학과 설립과 운영에 적극적인 역할을 해달라며 신정훈 ㈜비투지 대표이사에게 공과대학 명예학장 임명장을 직접 수여했다.

부경대는 오는 2024년 입학정원 40명의 반도체 학과를 신설하고, 현장 맞춤형 전문 인력 배출을 목표로 수준 높은 인력·시설·교육과정 등 인프라를 구축하기 위해 공을 들이고 있다.

부경대는 지난 9월 ㈜비투지와 업무협약을 맺고 파워반도체 제조 공정용 장비를 기증받는 등 전략적 업무제휴에 나선 데 이어, 이번 공과대학 명예학장 임명을 통해 반도체 학과 신설과 인재 양성, 연구개발과제 발굴, 산학프로젝트 수행 등에 협력을 확대할 계획이다.

부경대 규정에 따르면 인품과 덕망이 높고 대학발전에 지대한 공헌을 했거나 할 의지가 있는 자를 해당 단과대학장의 추천을 받아 명예학장으로 위촉할 수 있다. 비상임직인 명예학장은 대학발전, 산학협력 및 취업 등에 관한 사항에 대해 총장, 학장의 자문에 응하는 등 활동을 한다.

한편 부경대는 반도체 학과와 함께 디지털금융, 스마트모빌리티 학과 신설에 나서는 등 첨단 분야 학문 발전의 지역 거점으로 주목받고 있다. <부경투데이>

Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) appointed the representative of a semiconductor company as an honorary dean of the college of engineering ahead of the establishment of the department of semiconductor in 2024.

On December 29, in the president's office on the 3rd floor of the administration building, President Jang Young-Soo directly conferred a letter of appointment as an honorary dean of the college of engineering to Shin Jeong-Hoon, ceo of Blue ocean to gold co., ltd., asking him to play an active role in the establishment and operation of the semiconductor department.

Pukyong National University plans to establish a semiconductor department with an admission quota of 40 in 2024, and is making efforts to build infrastructure such as high-quality manpower, facilities, and curriculum with the goal of producing field-customized professionals.

Pukyong National University entered into a business agreement with Blue ocean to gold last September and entered strategic business partnerships, such as receiving donations of power semiconductor manufacturing process equipment, as well as establishing a new semiconductor department, nurturing professionals by appointing him as the honorary dean of the college of engineering, also it plans to expand cooperation in discovering development tasks and carrying out industry-academia projects.

According to the regulations of Pukyong National University, a person who is respected, has a high reputation, and has made a great contribution to the development of the university or has the will to do so can be appointed as an honorary dean with the recommendation of the dean of the college concerned. The honorary dean, a temporary position, performs activities such as responding to the advice of the president and dean on issues related to university development, industry-university cooperation, and career.
