부경대, 경상권 ‘교육기부 거점지원센터’ 선정

- 교육기부 네트워크 구축 … 소외지역 등 대상 교육기부 프로그램 운영

국립부경대학교(총장 장영수)는 한국과학창의재단 주관 ‘2023년 경상권 교육기부 거점지원센터(연구책임자 이상길 교수)’로 선정됐다고 밝혔다.

이 사업은 대학과 교육청, 지역사회가 함께 교육기부 협업 네트워크를 구성하고 활성화해 학교 밖의 교육자원을 발굴하고, 지역 간 교육격차를 해소하기 위한 것이다.

부경대는 이번 사업에 부산, 울산, 경남, 대구, 경북 등 경상권의 교육기부 거점지원센터로 선정됨에 따라 올해부터 최장 3년간 교육기부 확산 활동을 펼친다.

부경대는 총장 직속 교육혁신성과원 산하에 교육기부 거점지원센터를 설치해 다양한 수해양 특성화 교육기부 프로그램 발굴과 개발에 나선다. 경상권의 교육기부 대학 협의체를 구성해 각 대학의 교육기부 프로그램을 융합하고 대학 간 교육기부의 벽을 허문다는 계획이다.

부경대는 이번 사업을 통해 2022 개정 교육과정과 연계한 학생들의 학습활동을 지원하는 한편, 늘봄학교 지원과 초등돌봄교실과 연계한 방과 후 활동 지원, 도서벽지학교나 소외지역 학교, 소년원학교, 다문화 학생 및 학교 밖 청소년 지원 등 기부 수혜자의 특성에 맞는 교육기부 자원을 발굴해 운영한다.

이와 함께 지역의 교육기부 거점으로서 지연 인프라와 네트워크를 구축해 활용하고, 박람회 등을 통해 교육성과를 적극 확대하는 등 교육기부 가치 실현 및 대학의 지역사회 역할 수행에 앞장설 계획이다. <부경투데이>

PKNU selected as the 'base support center of donation for education'

Pukyong National University announced (President Jang Young-Soo) that it was selected as the 'base support center for educational donation in Gyeongsang area of 2023’ hosted by the Korea foundation for the advancement of science and creativity (KOFAC).

This project is aimed at discovering educational resources outside of schools and bridging the educational gap between regions by forming and activating a collaborative network for education donation among universities, education offices, and local communities.

As Pukyong National University has been selected as the base support center for DE in the Gyeongsang region, including Busan, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, Daegu, and Gyeongbuk, it will expand educational donation activities for up to three years from this year.

The university plans to set up a DE base support center under the Center for educational innovation and achievement under the direct control of the university president to discover and develop various water and marine specialized educational donation programs. The plan is to form a council of education donation universities in the Gyeongsang region to integrate the education donation programs of each university and break down the barriers between education donations between universities.

Pukyong National University supports learning activities for students in connection with the revised curriculum in 2022 through this project, while supporting after-school activities for elementary school students in connection with support and care classes for Neulbom school, providing educational donation resources tailored to the characteristics of the recipient, such as support for schools in islands and remote rural areas and underprivileged areas, youth detention center school, multicultural students and out-of-school children.

Along with this, the university plans to take the lead in realizing the value of educational donation and fulfilling the role of the university in the community by establishing and utilizing local infrastructure and networks as a base for regional educational donations and actively expanding educational achievements through fairs. <Pukyong Today>
