부경대생, 한국대기환경학회 국립환경과학원장상 수상

국립부경대학교(총장 장영수)는 김대현 박사과정생(환경공학전공)이 한국대기환경학회로부터 국립환경과학원장상을 수상했다고 밝혔다.
김대현 박사과정생은 최근 2023년 한국대기환경학회 40주년 기념 학생콜로키움에서 ‘궐련형 전자담배의 직-간접흡연에 따른 심박동수 등 심혈관계에 미치는 영향평가(The Effect of First and Second-hand smoking on Cardiovascular System such as Heart rate variability)’ 연구를 발표해 국립환경과학원장상 수상자로 선정됐다.
그는 이 연구에서 최근 사용량이 급증하고 있는 궐련형 전자담배의 직-간접흡연에 따른 흡연자와 비흡연자의 심박동수변이도(HRV)를 평가해 궐련형 전자담배의 사용이 실제로 인체의 심혈관계에 얼마나 악영향을 미치는지 확인했다.
그는 “최근 매체를 통해 일반 담배보다 궐련형 전자담배가 덜 유해하다고 광고하고 있지만 연구 결과 일반 담배와 궐련형 전자담배 모두 인체의 심혈관계에 악영향을 미칠 수 있다.”라고 밝혔다.
그는 지도교수인 손윤석 교수의 대기오염제어연구실에서 손 교수와 함께 전자담배에서 배출되는 유해물질의 배출 특성 및 인체 유해성 규명, 자연에서 발생하는 대기오염물질의 평가와 관리 대책 등 관련 연구를 수행하고 있다. <부경투데이>

Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) announced that doctoral candidate Kim Dae-Hyun (majoring in environmental engineering) received the National institute of environmental research award from the Korean society of atmospheric environment.
Ph.D. student Kim Dae-Hyun recently presented research on 'the effect of first and second-hand smoking on cardiovascular system such as heart rate variability' at the student colloquium commemorating the 40th anniversary of the Korean society of atmospheric environment in 2023 and was selected as the recipient of the National institute of environmental research award.
Through this study, he showed how the use of first and second-hand smoking has a negative impact on the human cardiovascular system by evaluating the heart rate variability (HRV) of smokers and non-smokers due to direct and indirect smoking of heated tobacco, whose use has recently increased rapidly.
He said, "Recently, the media is advertising that heated tobacco is less harmful than regular type cigarettes, but my research shows that both regular and heated tobacco can have a negative effect on the human cardiovascular system."
He is carrying out research in the Air pollution control lab of his advisor Son Yoon-Seok, to determine the emission characteristics and human hazards of hazardous substances emitted from electronic cigarettes and studying on the evaluation and management measures of air pollutants occurring in nature. <Pukyong Today>
