국립부경대, KAAB 건축학교육인증 ‘6년 풀 인증’ 획득

- 건축학전공 4회 연속 풀 인증 … 한국건축학교육인증원 주관

국립부경대학교는 조형학부 건축학전공(주임교수 오장환)이 한국건축학교육인증원(KAAB)의 건축학교육인증 최고등급인 ‘6년 풀(full) 인증’을 획득했다고 밝혔다.

건축학교육인증은 건축학교육의 국제적 상호 인정을 위해 도입한 제도로, 건축학교육인증을 받은 대학의 건축학전공(또는 건축학과) 졸업자만 건축사 자격을 취득할 수 있다.

국립부경대 건축학전공은 지난 2008년 부산 경남지역 대학 최초로 건축학교육인증 풀 인증을 획득한 이후 2차 3차 인증에 이어 이번 4차 인증에서도 최고등급을 획득해 오는 2030년 1월까지 인증 효력을 유지한다.

국립부경대 건축학전공은 이번 인증으로 미래 건축환경을 이끌어갈 실무중심형 창의융합 인재 양성을 목표로 한 세계적 수준의 5년제 건축학교육의 우수성을 인정받았다.

특히 학생들의 ‘창의융합성’, ‘협력성’, ‘실무지향성’ 등 건축사에게 필요한 주요 역량을 키우는 것은 물론, 전임 교수와 외래 교수 간 높은 유대 및 협력, 교수 학생 간 상호 존중, 학생들의 교육 열정과 활발한 학과 동아리 활동 등 우수 성과들을 이번 인증심사에서 높이 평가받았다.

이번 인증 과정을 총괄한 김민석 건축학전공 교수는 “건축학전공 교수진과 학생들이 건축학교육 발전과 전공역량을 높이는 데 함께 노력하고, 대학 차원의 아낌없는 지원으로 뜻깊은 성과를 거둘 수 있었다. 앞으로도 세계적 수준의 우수한 건축학교육 프로그램을 통해 국내외에서 활약할 우수 건축학 전문가를 양성하는 데 최선을 다하겠다.”라고 밝혔다. <부경투데이>

PKNU accredited for full 6 years from KAAB architectural education accreditation

Pukyong National University announced that the department of architecture (head professor Oh Jang-Hwan) of the division of art and design has obtained '6-year full accreditation', the highest level of architectural education accreditation, from the Korea architectural accrediting board (KAAB).

Architectural education accreditation is a system introduced for the international mutual recognition of architectural education. Currently, only architecture majors (or architecture departments) graduates from universities that have received architectural education accreditation can obtain an architect qualification.

The major of architecture in Pukyong National University was the first among universities in the Busan-Gyeongnam region to obtain full architectural education accreditation in 2008, and has received the highest grade in the 4th accreditation following the 2nd and 3rd and will remain in effect until January 2030.

Pukyong National University has once again received accreditation, acknowledging the excellence of a world-class five-year architectural education aimed at nurturing practice-oriented creative convergence talents who will lead the future architectural environment.

It was highly evaluated in this accreditation program for its education on the major competencies required for architects, such as creative convergence, cooperation, and practical orientation, the high bond and cooperation between full-time professors and adjunct professors, mutual respect between professors and students, as well as the students' passion for education and active department club activities.

Professor Kim Min-Seok in the major of architecture, who oversaw the accreditation process, said, "Architecture major faculty and students worked together to develop architectural education and enhance major competencies, and were able to achieve significant results with generous support from the university.
