| 창학 100년, 발전기금 모금 동참 이어진다 |

장영수 총장, ‘창학 100년, 글로컬 도약’ 1억 쾌척

- 4일 발전기금 전달식 … 대학 발전 마중물 기대

국립부경대학교가 올해 창학 100년을 맞아 진행하고 있는 발전기금 모금에 동참하는 기부가 이어지고 있다.

3월 5일 현재 19명(2,700만원)이 대학 발전과 혁신 지원을 위한 창학 100년 발전기금 모금에 참여한 가운데, 장영수 총장이 1억 원의 발전기금을 쾌척하고 나섰다.

장영수 총장은 지난 3월 4일 오전 대학본부 3층 총장실에서 발전기금 전달식을 하고, 교육, 연구 등 국립부경대의 발전을 지원하기 위해 1억 원의 발전기금 기부증서를 대학에 전달했다.

장영수 총장은 “창학 100년이라는 큰 역사적인 순간을 맞은 우리 대학이 글로컬대학으로 도약하는 등 더욱 큰 혁신에 나서는 계기가 되길 바란다.”라고 밝혔다.

장영수 총장은 1995년 모교인 국립부경대 교수로 부임해 교육과 연구에 힘써온 데 이어, 지난 2020년 제7대 총장으로 취임한 이후 ‘혁신 창학, 힘찬 도약’을 기치로 내걸고 모교 발전에 전념해 왔다.

장영수 총장은 “대학을 둘러싼 여건이 갈수록 악화하고 있지만, 제2의 창학이라는 각오로 혁신 노력에 나서는 것은 모든 구성원이 한마음일 것.”이라면서, “이번 기부가 국립부경대의 발전을 위해 지역사회가 동참하는 마중물이 될 것으로 기대한다.”라고 말했다.

한편 국립부경대는 창학 100년을 맞아 ‘창학 100년 발전기금(New-Turn 100)’ 모금, 소액 기부 캠페인 등 대학 발전을 위한 지원사업을 펼치고 있다. <부경투데이>

| The 100-year anniversary of founding continues with the fundraising for development funds |

President Jang Young-Soo made a 100 million won large donation for 'centennial of founding, and glocal leap'

At the Pukyong National University, donations to the development fund campaign commemorating the centennial of its founding this year are ongoing.

As of March 5th, a total of 19 people has participated in the fundraising for the centennial development fund, contributing a combined total of 27 million won to support university development and innovation, and President Jang Young-Soo made a large donation of 100 million won to the development fund.

President Jang Young-Soo held a development fund presentation ceremony in the president's office on the third floor of the university headquarters on the morning of March 4, and delivered a development fund donation certificate of 100 million won to the university to support the development of Pukyong National University, including education and research.

President Jang Young-Soo expressed, "I hope that our university, marking the significant historical moment of its centennial founding, will seize this opportunity to leap forward as a global university through even greater innovation."

Since his appointment as a professor at his alma mater, Pukyong National University, in 1995, President Jang Young-Soo has dedicated himself to education and research, following his inauguration as the 7th President in 2020, he has been committed to the development under the slogan 'new beginning, new inspiration'.

President Jang Young-Soo said, "Despite the deteriorating conditions surrounding universities, the collective determination to embark on innovative efforts under the banner of a 'new beginning' should unite all members. I anticipate that this donation will serve as a catalyst for the participation of the local community in supporting the advancement of National Pukyong University."

In line with the celebration of its centennial founding, Pukyong National University is launching various support projects for university development, including 'New-Turn 100' fundraising campaign and small donation campaigns. <Pukyong Today>
