‘창학 100주년’ 국립부경대, ‘대학 100년의 기억’ 특별전 개최

- 청운관 1층 박물관 기획전시실 … 8월까지 150여 점 전시

국립부경대학교 박물관(관장 조세현)은 4월 15일 오전 청운관 1층 박물관 기획전시실에서 ‘세상을 앞선 한걸음, 대학 100년의 기억’ 특별전 기념식을 열었다.

국립부경대 박물관은 올해 대학 창학 100주년을 기념해 대학 역사 기록물을 발굴, 전시하며 전통과 새로운 도약을 기념하기 위해 오는 8월까지 특별전을 연다. 대학 구성원은 물론 지역 주민 등 누구나 관람할 수 있다.

이번 전시회에는 국립부경대의 전신인 부산수산대학교와 부산공업대학교 관련 기록물과 통합 이후 기록물 등 총 150여 점의 대학 역사 기록물이 전시된다. 기존 박물관이 보유한 550여 점의 역사 기록물 외에 추가로 확보한 기록물이 중심이다.

1924년 문을 연 부산공업대학교가 1940년대에 보수동에서 대연동 부지로 캠퍼스를 이전할 때 작성된 재산관계철 자료를 비롯해 1941년 설립된 부산수산대학교의 최초 학칙 자료와 각 대학 현판, 학보, 이색 사진 등이 선보인다.

미 공군이 1960년 촬영한 부산수산대학교 캠퍼스(현 대연캠퍼스)의 새로운 사진도 이번에 공개됐다. 용호만을 매립하기 이전의 해안선 모습과, 논밭으로 둘러싸인 캠퍼스의 모습이 선명하다.

1950년대 한국전쟁 당시 부산수산대와 부산공업대 캠퍼스는 미군 사령부로 사용됐었는데, 대연캠퍼스는 미 공군 비행장이 인근에 있어 군사정보 목적의 항공사진 촬영이 잦았기 때문에 지금까지 항공사진이 전해진다.

한편 국립부경대는 올해 창학 100주년을 맞아 대학 구성원과 지역 주민들을 대상으로 이번 특별전을 비롯해 축제와 이벤트 등 다양한 기념행사를 열고 있다. <부경투데이>

On April 15th, the Pukyong National University Museum, under the supervision of director Jo Se-Hyun, held a commemorative ceremony for the special exhibition 'One step ahead, memories of 100 years of university' in the special exhibition hall on the 1st floor of Cheongwun center.

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the university founding, the Pukyong National University Museum will host a special exhibition until August this year, showcasing historical records of the university's history and celebrating both tradition and new leaps. The exhibition will be open to all members of the university community, as well as local residents.

The exhibition will feature a total of over 150 historical records of the university, including documents from the predecessor institutions of Pukyong National University, the National Fisheries University of Busan and Busan National University of Technology, as well as records from after the integration of these institutions. In addition to the existing collection of 550 historical archives held by the museum, the exhibition will also showcase newly acquired records.

In addition to the various documents and artifacts, including property-related records dating back to when Busan National University of Technology, which opened its doors in 1924, relocated its campus from Bosu-dong to Daeyeon-dong in the 1940s, it will feature the initial charter documents of the National Fisheries University of Busan, established in 1941, as well as university signboards, university newspapers, and unique photographs from each university.

Newly released photos of the campus of Busan National University of Technology, taken by the US Air Force in 1960, have been unveiled. These photos vividly depict the coastline before the burial of Yongho Bay and the campus surrounded by fields.

During the Korean war in the 1950s, the campuses of Busan National University of Technology and Busan National Fisheries University were utilized by the US military headquarters as the Daeyeon campus was located near a US Air Force base, aerial photographs for military intelligence purposes were frequently taken, and images from that time are still available today.

In celebration of its centennial founding this year, Pukyong National University is hosting various commemorative events, including this special exhibition, festivals, and other events open to university members and local residents. <Pukyong Today>
